Stewardship Prayer

Lord God, You alone are the source of every good gift, of the vast array of our universe, and the mystery of each human life. We praise You and we thank You for your great power and your tender, faithful love. Everything we are and everything we have is your gift. After having created us, You have given us into the keeping of your Son, Jesus Christ. Fill our minds with His truth and our hearts with His love, that in His Spirit we may be bonded together in a community of faith, a parish family, a caring people.

In the Name and Spirit of Jesus, we commit ourselves to be good stewards of the gifts entrusted to us, to share our time, our talent, and our material gifts as an outward sign of the treasure we hold in Jesus. Amen.

The Annual Bake Sale will be held on Saturday October 12, 2019, at the parish hall library, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Ladies may bring in items for the bake sale Friday night and Saturday morning. All ladies of the parish are asked to participate in bringing items to sell.
The Annual Bazaar is Sunday October 13, 2019. Serving turkey and all the trimmings will begin at 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. The auction of donated quilts will begin at 12:30 p.m.

 

Religious Education Raffle Tickets are Now Available!

Knights of Columbus Raffle Tickets $100

Limited Tickets Available until October 10th- Grand Prize: $30,000

Other Prizes: 1-$7,000, 4-$4,000, 8-$2,000, 7-$1,000

Only 1900 tickets sold. Odds of winning are great!

St. Francis of Assisi will receive $375 for religious education materials.

Raffle Tickets will be drawn December 7, 2019 at 8 p.m. at the District Deputy state meeting in Wichita.

September: Traffickers prey on children as young as 9 years old and may target their victims through social media websites, telephone chat lines, after school programs, at shopping malls, through friends and acquaintances who recruit students. 1. Please remember class is dismissed at 10 A.M.

2. Please let your child’s teacher know if they will not be in the class.

3. If you have not turned in your enrollment paperwork please remember to bring that to me on Sunday. I will have blank forms at Parish Hall on Sunday if you need one.

World Mission Sunday

Please join Pope Francis in the observance of an Extraordinary Mission Month during October when Catholics worldwide are invited to be aware of the missionary outreach of the Church. Your prayers and financial contributions (especially through the special collection at Masses on Oct. 19-20) will help reinforce the transforming encounter with Christ that is proclaimed through Catholic missionaries all over the world.

 

ANNIVERSARY MASSES are set for Sunday, October 6, 2019 at St. Joseph Parish in Hays and Sunday, October 13, 2019 at St. Mary Queen of the Universe in Salina. Both Masses are scheduled for 3 P.M.
