Stewardship Prayer

Lord God, You alone are the source of every good gift, of the vast array of our universe, and the mystery of each human life. We praise You and we thank You for your great power and your tender, faithful love. Everything we are and everything we have is your gift. After having created us, You have given us into the keeping of your Son, Jesus Christ. Fill our minds with His truth and our hearts with His love, that in His Spirit we may be bonded together in a community of faith, a parish family, a caring people.

In the Name and Spirit of Jesus, we commit ourselves to be good stewards of the gifts entrusted to us, to share our time, our talent, and our material gifts as an outward sign of the treasure we hold in Jesus. Amen.

St. Peter the Apostle Prayer

O Holy Apostle, you are the Rock upon which Almighty God has built His Church. Obtain for me I pray you: lively faith, firm hope, and burning love, complete detachment from myself, contempt of the world, patience in adversity, humility in prosperity, recollection in prayer, purity of heart, a right intention in all my works, diligence in fulfilling the duties of my state of life, constancy in my resolutions, resignation to the will of God and perseverance in the grace of God even unto death; that so, by means of your intercession and your glorious merits, I may be made worthy to appear before the Chief and Eternal Shepherd of Souls, Jesus Christ, Who with the Father and the Holy Spirit, lives and reigns forever. Amen.

Upon his return to the United States in 1987, he was assigned for the next 20 years to parishes and missions throughout Colorado. Thereafter for seven years, Fr. Bill continued his parish ministries in his home state of Missouri as Pastor of two rural parishes. Having served as Pastor for 27 years, he gained his experience, knowledge, and understanding of the various facets of daily life. He excels in relating to the issues and struggles men and women are facing today.

What is a Mission?

Are you so involved in scurrying around with business, children, family, social activities that you have little time for quiet contemplation with God? A mission is a time of special grace when God calls us into a deeper relationship with Him, a time for personal growth, a time to listen to God, a time of spiritual refreshment and invigoration.

Who is a Mission for?

The Mission if for all people, from inactive to very active. It is for all ages and for any stage in life-married, single, divorced, separated, widow, etc. We particularly invite those who want to know more about the church today and how it can take an active role in the everyday experiences of work, leisure, family, and politics.

What form will this Mission take?

Each evening there will be a special parish mass and homily designated to increase our spirituality. A social will follow in the hall to enhance our feeling of parish community. The mission priest will be available for informal chats and questions and answ
